Hey all,

Thought you might want some back story about the new EP.

Heart Headed is a collection of love songs, three of which I wrote with my dear friend Patricia Conroy in Nashville earlier this summer. I started recording the demos and fell in love with them. One thing led to another and here I am releasing an EP just a few days after recording and mixing. Shout out to my mastering engineer, Bryan Martin for squeezing me in on such short notice. If you don’t mind me saying, I love these songs, I hope you do too.

I am a songwriter. This statement is an epiphany.

The business of music, yes the business, not the creative, wants me to be something. To go in one direction, to pick one genre. Maybe that’s even what you want from me.

I struggle with this daily. What if I can’t? Meaning… I can’t.

Today, I wrote a love song. Yesterday, I wrote a rock tune. Who knows what I will write tomorrow. One thing I do know, it will be something real. And when it comes down to it, that’s what we’re all looking for… Something real.

I am a songwriter.

I write what I feel.

I perform in the way that best serves the song.
